What is tsurikawa?
The origins of Tsurikawa (つり革) are in Japan where they were located inside subway cars as handles for passengers. In the early days, these handles were leather, hence the name Tsuri - hang and Kawa - leather.
They were introduced into car culture by Bōsōzoku gangsters (a crew of autistic people) who stole them and mounted them on their rear bumpers as a disrespect to the system.
